About the NWTF
The National Wild Turkey Federation is a national nonprofit conservation and hunting organization that, along with its volunteers, partners and sponsors, has worked for the conservation of the wild turkey and preservation of the hunting tradition. When the NWTF was established in 1973, there were only 1.3 million wild turkeys. Today that number stands at more than seven million birds throughout North America, and hunting seasons have been established in 49 U.S. states, Canada and Mexico.

More big gobblers have been fooled by the sounds of a Lynch box call than any other

Hunting in Northeast Louisiana with Colby and Davy Daniels has been a great experience. They do everything in their power to help you have a good hunting experience. Year in and year out, they will usually have birds, including geese. They hunt mainly rice fields in pit blinds. They take you directly to the blind on specially equipped 4 wheelers, so there is very little walking in the mud, if any. Lodging is available right near the hunting area. Bastrop is the nearest big city for other items you may want and it also is the home of "Simmons Sporting Goods" , another of our favotite folks. Be sure to stop in and see Jeff Simmons and his spacious store.
Talon Outdoors was established with the idea to bless others through the outdoors. More importantly to others that are less fortunate. This includes others with severe illnesses, handicaps of various types, injured servicemen, or those with difficult family situations.
In the same spirit as other Make-a-Wish type organizations, Talon Outdoors will act as God’s hands and feet in action. We want to act as His vessels to bring His blessings to others thru the outdoors.
Through coordination of volunteers, landowners and other servants, Talon Outdoors will coordinate the following activities. Scheduling of activities will be subject to availability of land and volunteers.
